MEKSIKA 2.0 - NEW CHAPTER / NEW ERA
The cleanliness of the existing volume of the building allows for the new to be converted with minimal intervention, while encouraging a great deal of imagination, creativity and thinking outside the box. The previously enclosed floor plan was transformed into an open, connected space. Instead of a separate kitchen and hallway, an open entrance area was created, which now serves as a home office with a utility corner that includes a washing machine and a storage water heater, cleverly concealed in the cupboard behind the mirrors that visually enlarge the once dark hallway. The glass bathroom door further allows light to flow into the office. The bedroom has been transformed with an open "walk-in closet" and a separate sleeping area. The largest space in the apartment is an open-space living area with thoughtful design complemented by unique pieces of furniture*, which give the apartment a distinctive, colorful character. For example, the working corner near the entrance is marked by architect's brass art installation Network, while the living area features the Marbellous table, made of three types of marble, and the New Chapter New Era cabinet with brass details.
* Love Letters nihg stands and nightstand in the bedroom, Building Blocks Bathroom Set in the bathroom, Marbellous table, made out of three types of marble, with sofa and New Chapter New Era TV cabinet with brass details in the living room, home office with brass installation Network, etc.
