The small apartment, overlooking Ljubljanica river, beautifully restores its hidden historical architectural details and special charm, merging aesthetics with functionality in a refined way. Exposed sections of a mural, which were discovered beneath layers of plaster, are now on display against a backdrop of brilliant white walls. These remains of the past are treated as artifacts, together with curated artworks alongside architect's unique pieces of furniture such as the colorful lamella Building Blocks and Concretable dining table. A key transformation is the replacement of the entrance wall with a long lamella, abstractly representing the components of the demolished wall while guiding visitor into the central area. The 3.6-meter ceiling height has enabled the addition of a gallery maximizing the apartment’s limited space while ensuring modern comfort. The thoughtful renovation harmoniously integrates the past and the present, creating a living space that ensures modern living.
