At first glance, the monochromatic design of the space with fluorescent accents in the embrace of socialism does not seem socialist at all. The entire space is designed as an apartment and a creative platform or open studio for a graphic and jewellery designer, where architect's designed pieces of furniture* subconsciously dramatize memories from the past, mirror the present, and at the same time illuminate the future. The once »closed« floor plan has been transformed into an open connected space with a circularly designed central area, marked by the art installation made of wall tiles – xx Poetry, on the kitchen wall, echoing remnants of past wall tiles. The design also integrates elements such as the Concretable table with shelf and metal bar installations that create a seamless connection between the kitchen and living area. Modern mirage - the mirrored lamella wall, abstractly transforming into a curtain, symbolically represents accordion doors and former wooden wall paneling. The reflection in the mirrors revives associations with the past, while the glowing, semi-transparent curtain adds a modern touch. The division between the living areas creates a dialogue between the spaces, subtly revealing the more intimate parts of the apartment—the bedroom and bathroom, in a thoughtful and artistic way. The renovation masterfully integrates the space as a creative platform and a functional living space.
